Skylanders

One late Summer night I was playing Skylanders with my brother Zane.  We were just approaching the hardest level, The Lair of Kaos.  Bang we beat the Arkeyan armory and collected the magic element orb.  We teleported back to the ancient ruins.  Hugo the mabu was blabbing on about nonsense as usual and Flint was talking about how great he was.  Then we headed towards the core of light so we could teleport  to Kaos's lair.  Hugo came up to us and said
"I'll just type in some coordinates and, bang.  You can now teleport to Kaos's lair."
Huge bubbles surrounded us and we started to float up.  Bang.  A huge flash of light turned everything white and when it cleared we were in Kaos's lair.  Bones started raining from the sky and exploded into little purple shiny gems.  After it stopped two lava kings jumped off of a platform high up in the air.  They landed and started spewing their little red fiery minions.  They charged at us and we attacked.  BANG BANG BOOM!  The ground shook as fireballs exploded and lasers charred the ground at our feet.  BLAM!  The fire king exploded and all of his minions died.  We moved on through the gate.  It closed behind us.  There was some chicken drumsticks to heal us.
"Which one of us has lower health?" I asked.
Zane did so he took the chicken.  We moved on and stopped right before a large circular room with a huge blade rotating on an axis in the middle.  We waited until the right time than ran out as the blade followed close behind.  We made it into the corridor at the other side and were greeted by laser shooting Tech Spell Punks.  Little circles zeroed in around us as the Tech Spell Punks aimed their lasers.  We ran.  Blam Blam Blam.  The lasers missed us by an inch.  We charged at the Tech Spell Punks and smashed them against a wall.  They exploded and little blue tornadoes formed and sucked up their remnants then disappeared.  We walked in the the room and a gate closed behind us.  Drow Witches, Lava Kings, more Tech Spell Punks, and more enemies came floating in on flying platforms.  The platforms stopped and the enemies jumped off.  Bam Bam Bam.  Everything was mayhem.  Fire balls exploded and swords flew through the air.  The fight went on for what seemed like hours but then when the last enemy had fallen the exit gate in front of us opened.  We walked through the opening and the screen froze.  "I can't move!" I said.  Then Eon the dead portal master's ghost appeared.  All of your Skylander's have been returned to full health.  He disappeared and the platform started to move.  We moved away from the battleground, away from the gate, away from the land enemies.  The platform was headed towards a floating castle.  As we got closer the castle started to turn.  It turned and turned until it was finally upside down.  The platform moved closer and I saw an arena on the bottom.  The platform landed and we hopped off.  A little hovercraft floated up from one of the sides of the castle and in it was a tiny man with tattoos all over his face named Kaos.
"Bwahahahahahahaha!" he shouted. "You have fallen right into my trap!"
"I will use my minions to destroy you!" he said.
Three minions teleported into the arena and made their signature screeches.  The charged and we barely dodged their attacks.  We split up and took each one by ourselves.  Once they were all dead Kaos's hovercraft came closer.
"Perhaps you do have something special in you." he shouted "Then I'm just gonna have my brawlers bash it out of you!"
Three more minions appeared behind the first trio.  The first group exploded giving all of the next
group a higher level and they were much bigger.
We ran, dodged, and fought our elusive opponents.  Bang!  Another minion fell.
"One more." I said.
Slam!  The last minion fell.
"Minions," said Kaos "what is wrong with you!?!?"    "Well, it doesn't matter anyways because I have three more terrifying minions to take there place!" he shouted.
The old minions appeared and newer ones appeared behind them.  The older minions blew up giving the newer ones XP and making them level up to be even bigger than the last three.
Once again the minions attacked and we defended ourselves as best we could.
Countless seconds later all of the minions were defeated.
"FOOLS!" Kaos shouted.
By this time he was really getting angry with his minions.
"I shall use my Hydra!" he said.
A huge dragon-like beast with four heads that had been floating behind Kaos for the whole time moved closer.  Each of its heads were a different color and a different element.  The green head was Life, the red head was Fire, the blue head was Water, and the skull was Undead.  The fire head came to the front and growled.  Kaos's hovercraft shot down on the arena and mini volcanoes shot from the base of it in four different spots.  We dodged the volcanoes easily and attacked his hovercraft.  He had 9999 health and we thought it would take forever to beat him.  This battle reminded me of the other boss battle I had with Bowser in Super Mario Galaxy 2.  Blam Blam Blam!  Kaos was now down to half of his health.  We fought and fought until he was at almost zero health.  His hovercraft flew up again and he started to talk.  All of the minions that we defeated we surprisingly not dead.  All of them appeared below Kaos.  They all blew up sending all of their XP up to Kaos.  He now had back to 9999 health.  "This will take FOREVER!" I moaned.  Once again the Hydra attacked us.  The skull came to the front of all the heads and roared.  Purple beams started to form around us and we had to dodge them or we would lose a lot of health.  We ducked and dodged and every once in a while Kaos's hovercraft would shoot down and smack the ground right where we were standing moments earlier. Volcanoes from the fire head, tracking worms from the life head, doom sharks from the water head, and purple laser beams from the undead head all attacked us repeatedly.
We were starting to think that we wouldn't finish the level today and would have to finish it tomorrow.
Minutes seemed like hours but eventually Kaos was down to very low health.  We had already used up half of our Skylanders energy.  "He's almost down!" I said happily.  BOOM.  His craft fell to the arena floor as his health mete lowered to 0.  "We did it!" I shouted.  Now we were back in the Ancient Ruins with Kaos floating in a bubble.  "Let me out!" he shouted angrily.  Hugo started talking about banishing him from Skylands and other punishments for his crimes.  Kaos in his bubble prison flew off into space.

Schools in Michigan should not have year-round calenders █ Updated

Schools in Michigan should not have year-round calenders because it gives kids no time to relax.  If kids have no time to relax they will get overwhelmed and won't be able to take the pressure of school anymore.  If kids can't relax they won't get any time to hang out with their family or friends and they will start to feel lonely.  "It's a good idea, whether you live in the city or on a farm," said Ashley, who will be in 11th grade. "Without the summer off, we might go insane."   "It's a good idea, whether you live in the city or on a farm," said Ashley, who will be in 11th grade. "Without the summer off, we might go insane."

I worked on writing today

I wrote in my blog today

Why schools should not have year round schooling

Year round schooling does not improve students' academic achievement.  Year round schools and traditional school are technically the same because they both have 180 days.  Experts that have researched the topic found out that year round schools have the same achievements and grades as traditional schools.  Year round schools give you no time to relax or play sports with your friends over summer.  Year round schools are more expensive to maintain because they have to keep their cooling systems on all summer instead of just shutting them down like traditional schools.

Paint Ball Party / Published Story

FOOSH FOOSH FOOSH!  Paintballs soared by my head.  That was close I thought.  Nicolae and I ran through a ditch.  BLAM BLAM BLAM!
"Turn around!" I shouted.  We ran back looking for cover.
"There, lets hide in that sniper tower." Nicolae said.
BANG BANG BANG!  The walls of the tower were splattered with paint.  We ducked behind the tower and climbed up.  We were entirely closed in by green painted walls.  BLAM BLAM BLAM.  We ducked behind the walls and waited.  We jumped up but the sniper was well out of range.
This reminds of the many times when my brother and I run around our house with Nerf guns shooting at each other.
"We need to get down and hit him from closer."  I said.
We ran down and hid behind a close by structure.  He hasn't seen us yet I thought.
"GO!" I yelled.
We ran out and ducked behind another wall closer that the last.
SPLAT!
That was close I thought.
"Almost there." Nicolae said.
  The ref yelled "Game over."
"What?" I said.
Leo had secretly gone and captured the flag and made it to the enemies territory.
"We won." Leo shouted.
I released the breath that I had been holding.
"Yes!" Nicolae and I said.
We walked out of the arena.  I took one last look at the paint splattered mesh walls that surrounded our victory ground then followed the others.

Paint Ball Party ■ Part 3 The Game

We stopped at a mesh wall.  The referee briefed us about the rules and where the dead box was and then we were led in.  We got divided up into teams and led to our separate sides.  "Nicolae come with me over to that little board, it would be perfect for sniping." I said.  "5, 4, 3, 2, 1, GO GO GO GO GO!"  The ref yelled.  Nicolae and I ran to the board and waited.  BANG BANG BANG.  Shots hit the board.  We started firing at the assaulter.  He ran off.  We kept shooting and ducking until Mr. Galloway came up and hid right on front of us twenty feet away from our hiding place.  BANG BANG BANG.  Nicolae and I opened fire.  We nailed him right in the rear end.  "Yes!" I shouted  He put his gun above his head and walked of the field.  We waited for a long time looking all around us but no one came.  Then some of our team members walked out in front of us.  We followed and looked for the last survivors.  Someone came out we shot at him and he said he was out of ammo.  The game ended and we walked out.  "Whew," I said "these masks sure are stuffy."  I pulled off the mask.  "Can we go again." I said.

Paint Ball Party ■ Part 2 Preparations

"This is it!" said Mr. Galloway.  We jumped out and walked over to the opening in the fence.  We waited a while and the kids threw the leftover paint balls from other people.  Finally we saw a car drive by then stop Storm, Nicolae, Zoe, and Leo hopped out.  We ran to greet them and started throwing paint balls.  "Come on," I said "lets go."  We walked back in and played around for a while.  Then an instructor came over and started talking about the rules.  "No shooting at the ref." he said.  He blabbered on and on about the rules and then said "Go over to that window over there to get your guns and masks.  We walked over and collected our guns and masks.  The guns were heavy.  They had a bulky air tank at the end and a big ammo pouch.  The guy at the window said "Over there is where you get your air tanks filled."  The person at the air tank filling station filled our tanks and told us to walk over to the bleachers.  We walked over and sat down and someone filled our ammo pouches.  After all of our guns were filled we jumped down and walked over to our referee.  This way he said and led us through the fence and over to the woods.

Paint Ball Party ■ Part 1

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon at my house.  I was putting on extra shirts and better pants.  In a couple minutes I would be going to my friend Storm's birthday party.  I walked down the stairs and got my shoes on.  I raced outside and found my mom climbing into our car.  I hopped in and buckled up.  The engine started and we backed out of our driveway.  "I can't wait!" I yelled excitedly. "I get to go paint balling for my first time!"  We drove around a corner and stopped at a grey house.  The house belonged to the Galloways.  The Galloways were some of Storm's friends and they were going to drive with me to the Arena.  We got out and a woman and two kids came out of the front.  "Hello." she said.  "Hi." I replied.  "I'm Mrs. Galloway and these are my kids, Paul, and Charlie." she said.  My mom chatted with her a little bit and then she said "Come this way."  I followed Paul and Charlie to a pickup truck and we all got in.  Paul and I sat in the back and Mr. Galloway and Charlie sat up front.  Mr. Galloway turned on the radio and we started to move.  We chatted a little but mostly listened to the comedy program that was playing.  After a while we arrived at a setup that looked like a border between states.  We paid a fee and then drove through.  Past the border like thing was a huge parking lot with a super mart on one side.  A sign said Lone Wolf Paint balling this way →.
We drove down and saw a a fence with loads of people dressed up in camo holding all sorts of paint ball guns.  "This is it!" said Mr Galloway.

Joey Nowak Interview

I think the most important thing that Joey Nowak said during our interview of him was "If you like a team better than the rest you may get in trouble because if you like that team better you might write about them with higher quality than you would with the other teams."

The Charge

One sunny Monday morning I was lying in bed and it was time for me to get dressed.  I got up and walked over to my dresser and started getting dressed.  My cat Pickles walked over and started head butting me.  My mom came up the stairs and asked "Are you ready?".  "Almost." I said.  Then Pickles jumped up and rammed her head through the banister almost knocking my mom down the stairs in the process.  I started laughing like crazy.  "Bad Pickles!" my mom said.  I got the rest of the way ready and headed down stairs for breakfast.

Tank Riders

One morning I was playing Tank Riders.  My tank was  nearing the end of the level.  Boom I won.  "Time for the next." I said.  I got in and the round started.  No tanks were in the area.  I zoomed around a corner and dodged a bullet.  Bang, enemy neutralized.  Up ahead there was another corner.  This time I was ready.  I drove out and shot the tank before it even saw me.  It exploded and a rocket fell out.  "Yes!" I said.  I picked it up and zoomed to the other side of the arena.  In front of me was the biggest tank I had ever seen.  BANG BANG BANG, the ground around me exploded.  I raced back the charged.  BANG BANG, BANG BANG BANG.  I dodged and fired repeatedly.  BANG BANG BANG BOOM.  The tank blew up and I was teleported back to the game room.  "I won I won I won!" I chanted.

MCReloaded

One late Saturday night I was playing MCReloaded with my friend Kyle.  We reached the drop zone and jumped out of our plane.  We hit the ground and ran as bullets rained over our heads.  We hid in a hotel and I found a chest.  In it was a P90.  We ran back out side to hide and we almost got shot.  I hid behind a building and jumped out blasting three of the enemies.  We ran to a bank and hid on the roof.  We waited a while and then a soldier with an AK-47 jumped out from behind a lamp post and nearly shot us off of the bank.  He walked inside and we heard him climbing the stairs.  I tossed a grenade down and it blew up.  We came down and found all of his stuff on the floor.  Kyle picked up his AK-47 and we ran out.  Outside we saw soldiers coming out of a building.  We tossed some grenades and ran.  Bang, it was all over.  We had won!

Skyblock Warriors

One late summer night, my friend Kyle and I were playing Skyblock Warriors.  We had just started the game and were making a bridge between our battle islands.  He made it across and we sealed of the entrance.  "Lets make a cobblestone generator." I suggested.  We started building it but immediately faced problems.  The lava from the generator kept coming out the cobblestone's exit instead of the waste vent.  If this kept happening, our whole island would eventually be lava land.  We fixed the problem by moving the water escape vent over and putting the lava's vent in its place.  The problem was fixed and we made tons of cobblestone.  We used the cobblestone to make a bridge to the next island and found no one there.  We built over to the 4th and final island and found the guy cutting down a tree.  He saw us and started trying to knock us off with a fishhook .  We knocked him off but I got pulled with him. Kyle won and we went back to the lobby to play again.
